I recently stayed at a hotel in Guadalajara and had a great experience. The location was fantastic, with easy access to both the bus terminal and the historical center of the city. I could walk everywhere until about 10pm when the buses stopped running. The room was comfortable and clean, with a nice bathroom and good service from the staff. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. Additionally, the hotel had free secure parking and reliable wireless internet.
The only downside was the weak wifi signal in the hotel.
